Puebla’s natural beauty is serene and breathtaking
Many visitors to the state of Puebla come to see one thing in particular: the vibrant city of Puebla, also known as La Ciudad de las Begonias, which means city of begonias. However, they’re often surprised at the natural beauty of the state and how clean it feels compared to other, more populated parts of Mexico. Here are some beautiful pictures and images of natural beauty in Puebla that might surprise you!
The land
The city of Puebla is situated in the Central Mexican Plateau, an area that is known for its scenic beauty. Nestled between two mountain ranges, it is a place of vast expanses, where travelers can relax amidst the tranquil sceneries created by the Zocalo River, or contemplate the aesthetic value of its colonial architecture while strolling through one of its many parks. There are so many things to explore in this city that it could take years to see them all.
If you’re looking for scenic vistas, then hiking up to the pyramids at Tepozteco is not a bad option. You’ll be rewarded with panoramic views from atop these ancient structures, as well as enjoying the unspoiled wilderness below. For relaxing natural scenery head on over to Panteón de Belén for cascading waterfalls and green plants galore! A visit to Cholula’s Catedral de la Asunción would also provide you with ample opportunities to enjoy the aesthetic qualities of the stone construction in relation to its surroundings. So whether you’re into taking in majestic views or simply finding your inner zen; Puebla has got you covered when it comes down to natural beauty! It really doesn’t matter if you want lush landscapes, high-rises against the skyline or everything in-between – Puebla has got it all.
The sounds
The sound of a rooster crowing in the morning will start your day off with a sense of peace. You’ll also hear church bells ringing throughout the city as well as vendors yelling out their goods. One thing you might not expect to hear, is the sounds of children playing in the streets. Puebla has an active community that enjoys spending time outside even in spite of the hot weather. It’s no wonder that they are known for having such a vibrant culture! One big highlight is the Centro Cultural Ex-Teresa Arte Actual (CCET). There, you can see large sculptures created by Mexican artists from all over Mexico including works by famed sculptor Luis Sáenz.
If you’re looking for something more relaxing, head over to La Alameda Park where it feels like every corner features something new. There’s also Plazuela de la Luz which features both indigenous sculptures as well as pieces from Europe like La madonna y el niño sculpture by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio. Even though there is so much art around town it doesn’t feel overwhelming because many museums and galleries feature free admission so anyone can enjoy what makes Puebla unique.
The smells
There are a lot of smells in Puebla. The smell of the food, the cleanliness of the city, the comfort of your bedding, but there is one that stands out to me more than any other. That would be the smell of fresh cut flowers. There are flower vendors all over the city, with stalls set up on sidewalks or in front of their stores. The arrangements vary from small bouquets to huge creations made up of every type of flower imaginable! If you need an occasion for a gift, it doesn’t get much better than these beautiful pieces of art created by nature. Whether you’re looking for something as simple as a single rose or something extravagant like a 3D floral arrangement, I’m sure you’ll find what you’re looking for here.
It’s not uncommon to see someone handing out free samples of various types of scents when walking around the market so if this is your first time visiting then take some time to enjoy the experience before buying anything! As for the buyer, there is plenty to choose from including bunches of jasmine at just 10 pesos (approximately USD $0.50) which seems like a great deal considering most jasmine bushes are priced per stem rather than per bunch. When I bought my bouquet they had roses and daisies mixed together- while they may seem similar they do have subtle differences between them: Roses have been used as symbols of love and happiness since ancient times while daisies symbolize innocence and purity which could explain why people often use them in weddings.
Beautiful colors
The nature in Puebla is so beautiful, it will make you feel at peace. The greenery will help you relax and enjoy the scenery. From the mountains to the valleys, there are so many beautiful places to visit in Puebla. You can explore all of them with a tour or by renting a car. There are parks with waterfalls, mountain ranges to hike, rivers, lakes and more!
Here are some amazing spots to visit:
-Cascada Los Encinos (Los Encinos waterfall) -Parque Metropolitano La Preciosa (precious park) -Aguas Termales Caxcanes (warm waters pools) -Xochicalco (place for fun and games) -Monumento al Campesino (monument honoring farmers)
-Complejo Acuático Santa Rosa de Lima (Santa Rosa de Lima aquatic complex). There are also plenty of cafes and restaurants that have food from different parts of Mexico, as well as museums such as Museo José María Morelos y Pavón which hosts exhibitions from different countries every few months. If you’re looking for even more adventures head out to one of the incredible cenotes such as Cenote Zacatonal, which offers rappelling and zip-lining among other things. For an incredible view, try climbing up Pyramid El Kukulcán where most people go just to see how high they can get. So take a trip out to Puebla this weekend and experience it for yourself!
Friendly people
Puebla has a number of very friendly locals. In many cases you will be approached by children who are just trying to say hello, but in other cases you might be invited into someone’s home for lunch or dinner. You’ll also notice that people greet each other with a kiss on the cheek or a handshake, which feels more personal than a hug. Puebla is very family oriented and many people will spend their evenings at home with their families after work. People are often outdoors – either walking to the market or sitting in front of their homes chatting with friends.
This makes Puebla feel very safe because there always seems to be someone around! The pace of life is slower in general – people go about their day without rushing from place to place like they do in some parts of Mexico City. For example, they often use bikes as well as cars and public transport to get around rather than taxis or private vehicles. There are some beautiful parks throughout the city where locals go for walks and spend time together outside during the cooler evenings when it can become quite chilly even during summer months. The town square (Zocalo) is filled with trees that provide plenty of shade for those taking a break from exploring markets nearby;
